I took another day off work the following day and went into the curtain shop.

When Jennie arrived, spot on seven o'clock I was in the bath.

"You're early," I said.
"I thought we said seven?" she said.
"Did we? Oh well."

"How are the curtains coming along?" I asked.
"They should be done in a week's time. I'll bring them round myself," she said.
